Style the Shoot

This Spring, we’re all about Spiced Honey walls, black kitchens and mixed metals. Below we give you 5 ways to style our Spring shoot and get all the feels.

  Spiced Honey

It’s official – Dulux said it – Spiced Honey is the colour for 2019 and we are in love. The warm dulcet tones of this off beige colour is perfect for making any room feel cosy and it’s the perfect subtle update to be bag on trend. The subtlety and neutrality of this tone makes it perfect for either a feature wall or a whole room and it will easily compliment any furniture you already have. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a complete change up, matte black furniture is the perfect contrast to this sandy tone. Spiced Honey is also the perfect colour for a gallery wall, the understated tone won’t take any attention away from your artwork and you also won’t be concealing up any statement wallpaper.

  Reeded Glass

Don’t worry, you’re not Marty McFly and it’s not 1970 BUT reeded glass is back in. We love the look and feel of this understated feature. Plain glass is classy but reeded glass is edgy and gives us just that little something else. In the Whitworthe Locke, it has been used to create an open wardrobe with gold used for the rail and matte black steel for frame and it is perfectly stylish. Taking inspiration from Chelsea from @thehousethatblackbuilt, reeded glass could be used for panels in a pantry or kitchen cupboards. Chelsea upcycled her pantry doors herself and the finished product is by far our favourite pantry to look at. The reeeded glass almost flirts with us by not showing us clearly what’s behind those perfectly pretty doors.

The Satellite Collection

We’ve mentioned the Satellite Collection once but it’s so stunning we thought it deserved it own paragraph. This futuristic, space-inspired collection would be the perfect modern update to any home. The versatility of the range makes it perfect for a living room, bedroom or kitchen of any shape or size. The clouded glass globes perfectly compliment the copper and chrome hard ware and creates a classy and chic look.

 Black Kitchens

We’re a massive fan of all black everything and a kitchen is no different. If you want to take the plunge into all out black, then there’s nowhere better to take inspiration then the Whitworth Locke. The matte black cupboards are handle less which creates a clean and chic look. To add extra sass, the sink has been fitted with a black tap. This all creates a moodiness that is effortlessly chic. To add personality, gold and matte accessories have been used and against the black walls, they really pop. Our Satellite Table Lamp is the perfect fit to stand out against the matte black while the chrome hard ware will perfectly compliments the aluminium oven. If going all black everything is too much for you, but you still want to dare to be dark, how about adopting a style like Chelsea from @thehousethatblackbuilt. Chelsea’s love of black is evident throughout her house (and her wardrobe). For her kitchen, she’s opted for a subtler approach. She painted the walls white to keep the space light and airy but had her kitchen cupboards sprayed black and added brass hardware and the finished product is effortless.

  Pops of colour

The pop of green in the sofa against the Spiced Honey walls is potentially our most favourite thing in the world. The earthy tone of the green sofa teamed with the rough felt – almost burlap texture against the sandy, woody tones of the Spiced Honey walls makes for the most perfect, organic and inviting space.

On the other end of the spectrum is the cornflower blue headboard which is showing us that the Spiced Honey walls really can compliment any colour. The pop of blue on the headboard instantly livens up the room and makes it less neutral. This, teamed with the modern design of the bed makes the perfect on trend bedroom.
